At just 7.5mm thick it is certainly the slimmest keyboard we’ve have seen, but it feels no less durable for it. Lift out the K750 and the first thing you’ll notice is how thin it is. It’s elegant and an PVC-free example to others how a little bit of thought can go a long way. Four pieces of reclaimed cardboard hold the keyboard in place and just the keyboard, its wireless receiver and a wipe cloth are enclosed. Open it up and you’ll find the setup instructions, support numbers printed on the box itself – there is no manual or CD. Logitech has used minimalist recyclable packaging and it could almost fit through your letterbox. The positive impressions start the moment you begin unboxing.
What the fairly soulless branding doesn’t imply, however, is what a remarkably good job Logitech has made of it. What is ‘this’ exactly? The descriptive name tells you the basics. With ‘K750 Solar Keyboard’ Logitech has grabbed us by the scruff of the neck and shouted “Get a load of this!”

Like the recently reviewed Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800, the keys on the K750 are of Logitech's own design that combine a quiet click and a concave shape with a curve that mimics your own fingers.įinally, the K750 also uses another Logitech proprietary Unifying Receiver technology that lets you connect a single mini-USB plug to six compatible mice and keyboard device, so if you're already using a Logitech Unifying mouse, your computer is already set to pair up. Additionally, the company also includes a copy of the Logitech desktop Solar App (available for download November 15) with a lux meter that offers quick information about battery levels, drain alerts, and placement tips on where to pick up the most power.
Logitech tells us that a full solar charge can power the keyboard for at least three months, and a convenient on/off button conserves energy while it's not being used. Whereas other solar options force you to place the solar panels in direct sunlight to recharge, the Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 features two panels on top of the keys that charge the keyboard using ambient light, so even indoor light can can be used for juice. A new wireless keyboard by Logitech reduces power consumption and eliminates the hassle of replacing/recharging batteries-both using next-generation solar technology.
